You Require Improving Your Keyboard

More options than you might think possible are available with the humble keyboard  .

Often the keyboard supplied with our PC
Is a budget model , but upgrading to a good -quality version is an inexpensive and worthwhile investment.Check out the dozen or more replacement models in computer stores to find one you like .

Don’t Forget to prop your keyboard up!
Keyboards usually have two folding legs at the back or underneath ,which places the keys in the optimum position for your hand .it’s surprising how often this stand goes unused .

Do you dribble your double-decaf ?
Try a spill Proof keyboard , or cover your existing keyboard with an inexpensive plastic membrane, available from your local PC dealer .A much better idea altogether , though , would be to make the area around your computer s ‘No drinks ’ and ‘NO food’ zone.

Some models have extra button.
That you can assign to a variety of everyday tasks, such as checking e-mail , viewing a Web page or switching users . You don’t have to use the keyboard maker’s defaults for these extra buttons they are often useful for controlling features in specialist software..

Do you hate all the wires !

snaking round your desk ? Then use a wireless keyboard. Many different versions are available , most of which use very low energy radio waves . Wireless keyboards are useful in situations where you want to be at a distance from computer, although you still have to be able to see the screen.

When you add words to previous sentences,
Do you find that you end up typing over existing text instead of just inserting them?
This mean that you have accidentally pressed the insert key. To correct this , simply press the Insert key again , but this time make sure that the letters ‘OVR’ at the bottom in your word-processing software are no longer in bold .

If you allow your children to use your PC ,
Then a cheap ‘emergency ’ keyboard is a great idea . In the event of an accident or spillage , the spare keyboard could save you from a keyboard-less ‘holiday’ period and maybe a couple of missed deadlines as well.

Try a Microsoft Natural Keyboard .
This type of keyboard is fitted with the traditional QWERTY key layout (originally designed to slow down typists so old fashioned typewriters could cpoe) but splits the area that’s covered
By your left and right hands into two , so that your fingers are allowed to fall more naturally on the keys . the keyboard has no special requirements - you just have to get used to using the new layout .

Keep learnin’ and epxlorin’!
